Evian Resort Golf Club, Evian-les-Bains, France
With Chevron as the new lead sponsor, this event will continue to kick off "Major Season" in the golf world. Held the week before the Masters, the Chevron is the only major in women's golf that is held at the same venue each year.
The event was originally hosted by celebrity Dinah Shore, the tournament, known as the Dinah Shore Classic, was first held in 1972. A singer and television celebrity, Dinah Shore was an important influence in growing women's golf and she became synonymous with women's golf in the way that Bing Crosby and Bob Hope had with men's golf.
